The deck crane on the Valhall IP platform will be replaced by a new and larger Palfinger crane. We have been asked to design a purpose-built crane support frame and boom rest for transportation and testing of the new crane.
The scope of work includes:
Design and structural analysis of the crane support frame, boom support which will be supporting the crane during transportation from Poland to Norway and testing of the crane at quay in Egersund.
Interface/sea fastening to barge
Fabrication drawing included follow-up
Barge transport and Barge mooring analysis
Transport manual
Procedure for installation of temporary transport arrangements for new Palfinger crane
